Centre for Research in Applied Linguistics, China (CRALC) 

The Centre for Research in Applied Linguistics, China (CRALC) has been established as a branch of CRAL in Nottingham, UK. CRALC is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to the description and understanding of language as it is acquired and used in the real world.  Areas of current interest include corpus-based language enquiry, spoken language and gesture, agency, online discourse, interfaces of language and literature, second language pedagogy, language and cognition, academic, professional and intercultural communication, discourse and stylistics, issues of language standardisation and world literature.
