"GOOD TO BE ON TIME”
MINI-FILM COMPETITION

24th Oct to 13th Nov,2016

Together with the Student Affairs Office and The Communication and  Marketing Office, we are running a “mini-film” competition again entirely devoted to the numerous student societies, clubs and associations from UNNC.

These student-run groups really do make the UNNC campus such a wonderful place to live, study and work. We’re so impressed that we want to promote our students’ activities to a wider global audience, via our website and social media.

This is the main reason for the “GOOD TO BE ON TIME” mini film competition!

In a short, 30-second movie you get the chance to tell the world exactly what your student group has to offer. Show us the people, the activities, the camaraderie! We want to know what it is that makes your student group so special and to answer the most important question – why should UNNC students join your group and be the particular one of you?

There will be prizes and exposure for the top 3 films, but ultimately ALL the films will be published online.

The competition rules are simple:

1)      The movie could be filmed on a mobile device or professional recording equipment. Best quality and effect are the main thing we are searching for.

2)      The movie must be about the activities of your favourite student society.

3)      The movie length must be no longer than 30 seconds.

4)      The movie must be understandable to an English speaking, international audience. Any speech or titles must in English, but please also provide both English and Mandarin Chinese subtitles at the bottom.

Please send your movie via file-sharing download link (via Baidu, for example) to: commsandmarketing@nottingham.edu.cn or bring the hardcopy to AB347.

Deadline for entries is Sunday 13nd November 2016.

The top 5 films will be shortlisted by a jury and published on social media. The top 3 entries will then be decided by an online poll. The winning movies will be published on the main university website and campus screens for promotion. All entries will eventually be published via social media.

Prizes of 1,000 RMB and 2 x 500 RMB will be given to the societies that are the subjects of the top 3 movies.

Make sure that YOUR student society doesn’t miss out – enter a “GOOD TO BE ON TIME” mini-film today!!
