Introduction to the Administrative & Support Units
There are four centres that make up the Administrative & Support units of the University.
Administration
The administration offices are headed by the Registrar, Shen Weiqi.

Provost Office takes up responsibilities for the overall management of administrative system. The Office liaises and coordinates with external and internal bodies, manages external and internal official documents, receive visitors, and organize university-level events and meetings.

International Office provides a range of services and support to international students and staff in the university, including helping international staff and international students to obtain residence permit or get visa extended. The Office is also responsible for coordinating international study exchange programmes for students.

Academic Services Office is the key unit to provide academic support for all teaching staff and students. Main responsibilities include academic calendar draft, central timetabling and room booking, examination coordination, scholarship proposal, student registry and divisional administration support. It consists of four offices, the First Year Programme Office, the Divisional Office, the Printing Office and the Central Administration Office.

Admissions Office is responsible for recruiting domestic and international students. The Office disseminates admission information on undergraduate and graduate programmes, provides support and advice to applicants, and processes applications to the university.

The role of
Human Resources Office is to support university's goal by attracting, retaining, motivating and developing qualified staff. The Office provides direct service and specialized consultation on employment issues, and is also involved in personnel planning, organization structuring and policy regulating at university level.

The focus of
Career Development Office is to promote the employability of students, their access to part-time employment and to work experience while studying, and their successful transition to the next stage of their careers after graduation.

Research Office supports research activities, disseminates information on external funding opportunities as well as manages split-site PhD/MPhil programmes. The Office provides supports for diversified research events, such as seminars, conferences and workshops hosted by the university's various research centres and institutes.
Information Services at UNNC is headed by Max Wood.
Information Services (IS) provides a range of services and support that develop and deliver an increasingly complex flow of information and communications across the University's UK and international campuses.
There are two divisions within the department: Library Services and IT Services. These divisions are responsible for ensuring that around 2000 staff and students have access to teaching, learning and research resources by: providing the University's IT infrastructure; acquiring, developing and supporting new and emerging technologies and systems; and providing access to millions of electronic and printed resources across the University's campuses.
IS is continually developing and delivering the new initiatives expected of a world-leading institution, where possible, breaking new ground. This is being achieved by extending access to the University's network, IS services and support and to printed and digital resources; and by developing and supporting the delivery of e-learning.
Finance
The Finance Department is headed by the Director of Finance, Jinny Jin.
The department covers the following functions: establish appropriate financial policies; prepare, enact, and administer the University's annual financial budget; develop and maintain the University accounting and reporting system; monitor/audit expenditures by each department of the University; review expenditures for special purpose developing planning.
Main goals of the department are to serve as the University's chief fiscal policy advisor, to ensure the financial integrity planning, to promote responsible resource allocation and to promote the continuous improvement of the structures, systems, processes, programs and performances of the University.
Estates & Facilities
Regarding the operations system of the University of Nottingham and integration of characteristics of the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China, the Estates Department provides a wide range of facilities services and logistic support to daily campus operation and ensures University life runs smoothly.
It consists of:
- Facilities Management: Generally organize, supervise and ensure campus facilities are in working order and supply with effective logistic backup.
- Procurement Management: According to the annual budget plan, purchase all kinds of equipment and facilities needed to meet the demands for campus operations and teaching purposes.
- Assets Management: Manage and record University assets scientifically and efficiently, make sure the assets are physically right and clearly marked in assets management software database.
- Coordinate with Logistic Affairs Centre (LAC), ensure the logistic services provided meet the campus requirements.
- Campus Operations Committee (COC): Be responsible for campus operations and management, infrastructure and facilities, collaborate and adopt suggestions from various departments, focus on the university's long term development strategy and plan. Submit the advice and guidelines to Provost Management Meeting (PMM).
- Safety, Health and Environment Committee (SHE): To discuss all the issues relating to safety, health and environment as affected the staff, students and whole campus and make recommendations to rectify problems. The report is submitted to PMM when necessary.
