简介

在2013年秋天加入宁波诺丁汉大学之前, 我在德国亚琛工业大学完成了博士后研究工作,此外我还在巴黎新索邦大学担任英语研究课程的初级讲师。在宁波诺丁汉大学, 我教授应用语言学的各种课程,并进行语言和手势的研究。我现在是英语学院的研究主任。

以前和近期研究

我是一个手势研究领域的专家,对手势,语言以及认知之间的关系感兴趣.我主要是从认知语言学的角度以及以形式为基础的研究方法对话语伴生的手势进行研究(即ToGoG methodology). 我研究了手势语言在多种语境下的运用,尤其是对在英语谈话中表达否定意义的一系列手势感兴趣.我的研究论文包括了手势的形式;手势的组织特点以及手势与否定含义的语用学之间的关系;以及手势与概念化之间的联系.
我最近的领域涵盖了探索手势与话语过程之间的互动(比如框架构建过程)和在更为广阔的社会语言学语境中手势的运用。
